2014 Prep Orientation

Dear Parents of 2014 Prep Children,

Throughout the school year we have a series of orientation activities aimed at assisting your child/children to have a smooth transition from preschool into school and also give you an opportunity to find out how you can assist in this process.

OPEN SESSIONS

Tuesday 30th April 9:30am-11:00am

Tuesday 7th May 12:45pm-1:45pm

The purpose of these sessions is to provide families with  an insight into how our Prep classrooms operate and to meet our current Prep teaching team to discuss any elements of our program and to ask questions.

 

PARENT INFORMATION NIGHT

Tuesday 29th October 7:00pm

This session is for enrolled families. The purpose of this evening is to present information regarding what to expect during the Prep year, student readiness for school and our school policies. We also discuss the development of reading and reading levels. We hope you can come to this meeting. Please RSVP by ringing the school and leaving your name for the attendance sheet in preparation for any hand-outs and for catering purposes.

 

PREP ORIENTATION MORNINGS

Tuesday 19th November 9:00am- 11:00am

Tuesday 26th November 9:00am-11:00am

Children attend school for the morning. Parents are invited to stay for the session on Wednesday 14th. The children will need to have a clearly named drink bottle and a hat.

 

PREP ORIENTATION HALF DAY

Tuesday 3rd December 9:00am- 1:00pm

Children attend school for the morning session, have Lunch in the yard and are collected at 1:00pm. The children will need to have lunch, drink bottle and a hat.

 

PREP ORIENTATION DAY

Tuesday 10th December 9:00am- 3:00pm

Children attend school until the end of the school day. They will need to bring lunch, snack, drink bottle and a hat.

We hope that families are able to participate in this program which we believe will greatly assist your child/children’s transition to Primary School.
